Easter 2010

September 09 - The annual AMBA wine train announced, taking place on the 19th of September! 

Yes, our most popular event of the year is here again.  We will be embarking on the South Tynedale Railway for an evening of good food and wine to b shared by all!  The evening consists of Pre-boarding Champagne, before departure to Kirkhaugh Station. We will then alight to enjoy  a finger buffet provided by the Moody Baker and a wine tasting of around 5 wines, hosted by Cath Brown who is very knowledgeable on the subject.  Tickets are likely to sell out fast, and are available from Alston Post Office and Alston Wholefoods.  Please come and join us at 6pm on the platform!

July 09 - Alston Moor Business Association will be holding their annual BBQ on the 24th of July.  Tickets are available from The Moody Bakers, Alston Wholefoods, and Alston House.  The Menu will include Fresh salmon smoked in a lemon, white wine and parsley marinade, Choice of barbecued chicken in a Cantonese marinade or a West Indian lime and spice marinade, Barbecued Moroccan style lamb kofta, selection of vegetarian kebabs, Smoked pork fillet in a Chinese herb and spice marinade, Local sausages served with Cumberland Mustard

March 09 - The Moody Baker Scoops more award success.  They won 2nd price in this years Cumbria Social Enterprise of the Year award.

March 09  -  Alston Wholefoods will be moving to bigger premises on Alston High Street during April.  We wish them all the best in their new location.

February 09  -  Congratualtions to The Cumberland hotel in Alston, for winning CAMRA pub of the Year!
